Vivendi Entertainment sells new gameshow Couple or Not? in Hungary and Russia
 20 Feb 2018
Vivendi Entertainment (VE) announced yesterday that it has licensed its newly launched format Couple or Not? for adaptation in Hungary, Russia and Thailand, with options for Italy and Spain.

TV2 Hungary is producing 25 episodes to air daily in early primetime in the coming weeks, hoping to renew the success of Guess My Age, another Vivendi format that has enjoyed great ratings in Hungary.

In Russia, VE has partnered with Mastiff Russia to produce 25 episodes of the show for U TV Russia. The premiere is set for spring, following the successful run of Guess My Age which is also returning for a second season on the channel.

In Thailand, Zense Entertainment has started production for series 1 (26 daily episodes) to be aired in July on Channel 3 Thailand. In Italy, Magnolia TV, part of the Banijay Group is exclusively developing the local adaptation, cementing its relationship with VE, as it currently produces the daily hit Guess My Age for TV8 (part of Sky Italy). In Spain, VE has granted Xanela Producciones an exclusive option to develop and produce a local adaptation.

These deals are the first one to be announced following the very successful first series in France, launched on C8 daily during the Christmas holidays. On average on series 1 (18 episodes) scored massive increases in ratings among all commercial targets > +27% among 25-49 vs Sept-Dec 2017 (+31% vs a year ago); +41% among 15-34 vs Sept-Dec 2017 (+53% vs a year ago); +62% among Women under 50 vs Sept-Dec 2017 (+62% vs a year ago).

Matthieu Porte, Vivendi Entertainment’s EVP International & Development, says “After
making Guess My Age one of the most adapted formats of 2017, we have decided to play with another universal theme: guessing who is in a relationship! The successful French start and these first adaptations make us believe we were right and we are now willing to partner with as many networks, producers and brands in the coming months.”
