DCD Rights sells 250+ hours of content across CEE

Leading UK-based distributor DCD Rights has sold more than 250 hours of its diverse programming to leading platforms and broadcasters across multiple territories in CEE.

In a line-up of deals brokered by DCD’s Sales Manager, James Anderson, Pickbox (Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, Bulgaria) has acquired prestige dramas, Love Me, a Warner Bros. International Television Australian Production for the Foxtel Group; Hidden Assets, directed by Emmy-nominated Thaddeus O’Sullivan (Silent Witness) and starring Angeline Bell (Keeping Faith); and the second series of Australian produced, international hit The Secrets She Keeps, starring Laura Carmichael (Downton Abbey).

A package of 156 hours of unscripted series including Phantom Signals, Haunted Encounters and The Day My Job Tried To Kill Me has been sold to DOX TV, a channel specialising in high quality documentaries, for its platform across Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Montenegro. Whilst Profour Media Distribution, which covers Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia, has acquired all four series of the critically acclaimed Frankie Drake Mysteries detective series, produced by Shaftesbury Productions and starring Lauren Lee Smith (The Shape of Water).

Poland’s TV Spektrum has picked up high-end documentaries Secret Nazi Bases Series 1 & 2, World’s Greatest Ships Series 1 & 2, in addition to Series 5 & 6 of hit factual entertainment series Aussie Gold Hunters and Aussie Gold Hunters: Treasures. Also in Poland, BBC Earth has secured Scottish Islands With Ben Fogle which follows the adventurer as he takes a very personal pilgrimage across Scotland’s remotest isles.

France-based company Saudet Media has acquired Bosnian rights for both series of Portuguese and Galician thriller Dry Water produced by Portocabo and starring Victoria Guerra (Wilde Wedding).
