The Greek hit series Feud (Sasmos), which captivated the attention of viewers in Greece for three whole years in the prime time of one of the most watched television channels – Alpha TV, is coming to Bulgaria.

From June 10, the premiere of the shocking story, imbued with love and hate, at the center of which are the youngest members of two families, between which an insurmountable blood feud has been raging for decades, begins on bTV, the channel announced in a press release. The episodes will be broadcast every weekday from 13.30 to 15.00, and will be available 7 days before airing for subscribers of the VOYO video platform.

Sasmos is also a former CEE Breakout Hit selected by the CEETV which is already working on its 2025 selection which will be revealed at NATPE Budapest at the end of the month.

It is also worth noting that the series is distributed by United Media which owns bTV's main competitor on the Bulgarian TV market – Nova.

The story begins 20 years ago in the small mountain village of Ano Poria on the Greek island of Crete. The long-standing feud between the Stamatakis and Vroulakis families escalates into a bloody vendetta after Vassilis Stamatakis shoots Markos Vroulakis in front of his wife and their two young children – Argyro and Petros. Vassilis is serving his sentence, and his wife Kaliopi is raising their two sons – Asteris and Mathios – alone.
Asteris grows up as a charismatic and confident young man, who, however, lives under the burden of the high expectations of his authoritative mother. Kaliopi is a domineering and determined woman who keeps everything under control and has a clear vision of the fate of her sons. Asteris' older brother and Kaliopi's favorite - Mathios - carries a deep wound that prevents him from letting anyone near him. Although he seems extremely reserved, deep down Mathios hides a sensitive and vulnerable soul.

The trauma of the murder of her father Marcos forces Argyro to continue her education in Australia, but when, after nearly 20 years, she decides to return to the island permanently to reconnect with her roots, she meets the attractive Asteris. The two embark on a fleeting adventure and spend one night together, unaware that they are children of the enemy families of Stamatakis and Vroulakis.

The attraction between Asteris and Argyro threatens to reignite the old enmity between the two families and turn the nascent feelings between them into an insurmountable test. They are faced with the choice of whether to let the past separate them, or to risk everything to embark on the path to reconciliation between Stamatakis and Vroulakis, which at the moment seems impossible…

Sasmos aired on Alpha TV between September 2021 and July 2024 and largely dominated the daily prime in Greece during its run. It is produced by the renowned local production company J.K. Productions.
