Paprika Studios, Central and Eastern Europe’s leading independent content producer, has opened a new office in Croatia. With the launch of its Zagreb office, led by Country Manager Sandra Anušić, the Budapest-based group now produces shows in ten countries with local professionals for the television market’s key players.

The first milestone of the Croatian expansion was the local adaptation of the hit reality format Come Dine with Me (Večera za 5), produced for RTL Croatia (part of CME). The renewed season of Večera za 5 was a slot winner on premiere night and delivered even stronger results on the second day. Viewers also reacted positively online, praising not only the refreshed format but also the opening-night host, Mahir Kapetanović.

Paprika Studios is expanding its presence in Croatia, adding to its footprint in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

The move into Croatia marks the latest step in Paprika Studios’ continued growth across the region, including Romania, Slovenia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and the Baltic states. The company group from now on produces content in ten countries and 17 languages for more than 30 TV channels and streaming platforms. Partners include global players such as Netflix, HBO Max, Voyo, Viaplay, and Disney+, as well as leading regional media groups including CME and Antenna Group. In Hungary, Paprika Studios works with TV2 Group and RTL Hungary.

Paprika Studios’ portfolio spans local adaptations of major international entertainment formats alongside successful original and international co-productions. Credits include Dancing with the Stars, The X Factor, Survivor, Traitors, Farmer Wants a Wife, as well as fiction titles such as Paradise City (Amazon Prime) and Murderesses (Netflix Poland). The group has also produced series formats such as Tiger Daddy and The Teacher, tailored to local audiences in Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Slovenia.
