CEEMore details announced on Ergenç-Uzerli film
Following the unforgettable impact of the TV series Magnificent Century on audiences in Turkey and around the world, two acclaimed actors reunite after 15 years—this time on the big screen. Halit Ergenç and Meryem Uzerli are preparing to appear together in the upcoming feature film Spring in Imroz, Turkey's Sky Films announced in a press release.
Produced by Sky Films, Spring in Imroz will be directed by the award-winning filmmaker Özcan Alper, one of the distinctive voices of contemporary Turkish cinema, known for films such as Lovers’ Feast, Early Winter, Black Night, and Autumn. The film tells the story of two different lives that intersect on the island, finding each other in the possibility of a second spring. It explores the question: “Is love possible again in the spring of Imroz?” The project stands out as a significant new chapter in the acting careers of Halit Ergenç and Meryem Uzerli. Their reunion within the same cinematic universe years later elevates the project beyond a film, turning it into a remarkable cinematic encounter. Set to begin filming soon, Spring in Imroz has already sparked curiosity with its powerful story and the remarkable talents it brings together. Sky Films is a production company founded by producer Emre Oskay, who was nominated for Best International Feature Film at the Academy Awards and the Golden Globe Awards. The company produces content across various formats, including feature films, television series, documentaries, commercials, short films, and music videos. RELATED
