CEEOTE to rebrand from Cosmote to Telekom
OTE Group Chairman and CEO Kostas Nebis confirmed that the company will change its commercial brand name from Cosmote Telekom to Telekom, Naftemporiki reports.
Speaking at the Group’s Annual General Meeting, he stated: “In 2025, we combined the strengths of Cosmote with Telekom, the world’s leading telecommunications brand. This year, we will take a further step by evolving our brand from Cosmote Telekom to Telekom. The transition to the Telekom brand is a natural progression that repositions our brand as an international superbrand.” Reviewing the Group’s performance, Nebis noted that OTE delivered strong financial and operational results in 2025, reflecting the successful execution of its strategy. Revenue increased by 4%, while EBITDA rose by 2%. For 2026, the Group is targeting even stronger performance, aiming for 3% EBITDA growth, supported by the positive momentum across its core fixed-line and mobile operations. In the fixed-line retail segment, the Group succeeded in stabilizing its performance metrics after four years, achieving a meaningful turnaround. A key driver of this improvement was the continued expansion of its Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) network, which now covers more than 2.1 million households and businesses. The company also recorded a record number of net subscriber additions and increased utilization of its fiber infrastructure, both of which are critical to maximizing the return on its investments. Nebis emphasized that “in Greece, networks have always been, continue to be, and will remain synonymous with OTE. If there is one company that knows how to develop modern network infrastructure for the benefit of customers, society and the country, it is OTE.” He further highlighted the significant progress achieved over the past year in the development of the Group’s non-telecommunications, or “non-core,” services. The Box online food-ordering platform, which partners with 16,000 merchants, surpassed one million users. Meanwhile, the payzy digital payments application exceeded 450,000 users across Greece and Germany, while the Group’s insurance platform continued to gain traction, reaching a total of 126,000 users by year-end. According to the OTE chief executive, beyond their strong standalone performance, these services serve as important strategic tools for further strengthening the Group’s broad service portfolio and enhancing its differentiation in an increasingly competitive market. In the B2B segment, OTE continued to play a pivotal role in advancing digitalization across both the private and public sectors. Its ICT business delivered another year of strong double-digit growth and expanded further through the award and implementation of international projects for European organizations. This development further reinforces the Group’s leadership in delivering digital transformation solutions that are shaping the digital future of Greece and beyond. RELATED
